So, if anyone
knows any of these people or, even better, you have spotted yourself
and you wish to get in touch with me please click on the paper scroll

Well,
do you recognise yourself? Fortunately, I wrote the names on the
back of the picture, only the first names but that should be enough and
anyway you should recognise yourself.
Belated
thanks to Butch without whom we would not have had any photos of our wedding
at all. The snapshots were brilliant and all these photos, bar this
one as he is in it - who is missing? - were taken by him and many more.
I am not even sure anyone got to see them - the thoughtlessness of youth!

We
had a lovely reception at the hotel including a beautiful iced wedding
cake with a 'bride and groom' on the top.
So what
you might say? Well this was in the days of Ian Smith who was 'in
charge' of Rhodesia and had declared Unilateral Independence from Britain.
Rhodesia was then subjected to sanctions from many countries and after
a time it was virtually impossible to buy anything classed as a 'luxury
item', in fact anything at all.
Apparently
May and Dad had scoured Salisbury for any decorations whatsoever and according
to them this was the only piece they found. Probably paid a 'King's
Ransom' for it.

With
thanks to all concerned for making it such a wonderful day
